Taylor auxiliary Police dies, victim of hit-and-run

Taylor, MI-The Taylor officer died from injuries sustained after being hit by a car on I-94. The officer was aiding a stranded motorist when he was struck by a car around 9:00 p.m.
Police are looking for a late 1990's model Ford Crown Victoria white in color with front end damage and the driver's side door window broken. Its unknown whether the driver was aware that they stuck the officer.
This marks the second Taylor officer fatality within this year. Earlier this year the department loss, Officer Mathew Edwards to the callousness of a gunman. No other information is being released about the officer pending notification of his family members. The chief tells us he was in his 50's.

Taylor Auxiliary officers are volunteers, they help with things like traffic control and stranded motorists.
